John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is the busiest airport in the Northeast section of the United States. Our virtual flights operate to most major cities in the US using our main line fleet. Here at the New York Hub we provide Flight Operations to La Guardia and Newark Liberty International Airports.  We also service many international destinations in Asia, Canada, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean with our partnership of the Virtual OneWorld Alliance. We fly in the VATSIM Networks with primary Air Traffic Control service of NYARTCC, and the full support of all the VATSIM regions.

Join our dedicated team of pilots in the New York Domicile. My name is Alex Reyes your Hub Manager. I along with a very experienced management team look forward to having a great time with you in our busy Skies over New York.

 

JFK NEWS

The New York Hub did pretty well for the month of June. We had a lot of new pilots who were very active along with our veteran crews keeping our skies busy. We had a total of 849.6 total hours in 221 flights. Our Hub ended 4th in the "Battle of the Hubs" I think our pilots did a great job. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Hub for winning the Battle with a total of 1,303 hours. My good friend Gary Price is doing a hell of a job in the West Coast.

Our "Pilot of the Month" for June is Captain Carey Justin AAL508. He had a total of 134.8 flight hours in 23 flights. Also Captain Jason Sankar AAL555 with a total of 95.5 hours and Captain Jeffrey Pinard AAL512 with a total of 91.7 hours did a Great Job in our skies. Awesome work guys keep up the great flying!

American Virtual Airlines will be celebrating it's 8th Birthday with a US Extreme Hub Tour. During the month of July, we will visit each hub in our virtual airline. Each flight event will feature a different theme in the aircraft we will be using for the event. For full details and schedules visit the Events Department.

AvA Featured Destination for July

AvA's Feature Destination for the month of July is Brussels, Belgium (EBBR). You can fly to this airport from JFK using flight AA172. Go to our Flight OPS page, then go to the Virtual OneWorld Alliance for flight details. Make sure you put in your Comments Section your PIREP  to read "AvA Featured Flight" and also remember that the Feature Flight is a CAT Free Flight! For you pilots looking for a way to build up your flight hours this is a great way to get your flight hours up. Go have some fun flying to Brussels!

 
AvA 8th Annual Birthday Bash

American Virtual Airlines is reaching it's 8th Anniversary in July. Eric Fields and Brendan Conway of our Events Department have put together a set of flights to celebrate all of the AvA Hubs using all the aircraft in our Fleet. Our New York Hub will be promoted with flight legs on July 17th with a  KSTL to KJFK flight event and on July 19th with a flight event from KJFK to TJSJ. Some of the scheduled flights have been set up to join scheduled VATUSA Events! For full details and schedules click Here By the way did I mention the entire Month of July will be CAT Free? Yeah, you can fly any aircraft in our fleet! Take advantage of this and do some good flying and rack up your flight hours!

 
JFK Around the World Tour

We are going to have our first JFK's Virtual OneWorld Alliance Around the World Tour. This July in American Virtual Airlines 8th Anniversary Month we are going to fly around the world using the airlines and aircraft of the Virtual OneWorld Alliance. Since the entire month of July will be CAT FREE to all it's members you will have the chance to fly the heavies! From our flag ship the Boeing 777 to Boeing 747's, Airbus A340, A330's and more.
